Faith in a Box

It probably isn't nice to ask your friends for help, but if I can't ask you, then who can I ask? I am not supported by a huge publishing company advertising in magazines or on cable networks. I am alone attempting to promote this by myself. However, with your help, and the power of God, we will succeed.
Here's what I'm asking. On the 19th, and for 5 days the book will be available on Kindle for free. It cost you nothing to download a copy. Even if you already have it you can always dump it later, I just need the numbers.
Next, pleas consider going back to where the book is on Amazon and leave a review. The more reviews I get, the better my standings are with amazon. Good, bad, indifferent. Make up a name so no one knows it was you. Give it one star, give it 5. How ever you honestly feel.

Perhaps this is the most important, yet the easiest for you. When ever you see anything about the book on Face Book, Google+ or twitter. Please pass it on to your friends.
I have a couple of hundred friends on face book. You might have a hundred different friends. If you all pass it on, then suddenly its not a hundred seeing the message, its a thousand. Do this every time you see a post about the book. Just click share.
Its not easy for me to ask for help, but as you all already know, I believe I am doing what God wants me to do. So once again, please help me. Read on the blog at www.rickgreenbergauthor.com why I wrote the book.

Time Spent With God

I spent the last weekend, Sunday through Tuesday on a men retreat. This is the first retreat I've been on in a long time. The time spent was Physically relaxing, but more important, it was spiritually healing. I did a lot of soul searching and listened as our Pastor who taught us about true forgiveness. We studied the Lords prayer, or at least the first five parts. Perhaps the most significant is something I knew, but because the words had been softened, I forgot. I'm talking about "Forgive us out trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us."
That in its self never rang true to me. What Jesus spoke of when he said, "Forgive us our Sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us." He was saying, you must first forgive the sins of others, even those who have hurt you, before God is going to forgive your sins. Its not as simple as saying to God, I'm sorry, unless those who have sinned against you, have been forgiven by you.
Well, that was the most important thing I learned this past weekend. I must forgive anyone who has hurt me, and I must ask forgiveness from anyone whom I have hurt. So to all those I have sinned against, I'll be looking you up.
Thanks and God Bless you all
Rick

Why the book, Faith in a Box
When you read my book you will learn why I wrote this story. Believe me, I never wanted to. I mean, who wants to tell all about themselves. Tell some dark secrets to the world, certainly not me. Maybe that is why I fought doing any more then what I had done, give a testimony to a friendly congregation. God wanted more from me but I didn’t want to admit it. I knew He did but by just ignoring those feelings, I figured I could just put it off indefinitely.
That all change when Kim got cancer. I have felt fear before. Having been in two wars facing death, or when a child is ill and you are filled with uncertainty. But on that November day, when Kim was diagnosed with advanced cancer, a cold sweat consumed my entire being. No one can explain sufficiently the loss of a spouse. No one can comfort you from such a loss. Why, because the one who can share your loss, is the one who loves you above all others, your best friend, your life long companion is the one gone.
I don’t know why but I feel God was leading me this way. He knew how I would react to Kim getting cancer. He knew how scared I would be. I love Kim and thoughts of losing her brought back the hurt and the pain from all those years ago. Writing the book is what helped get me through it. When in August Kim was cancer free, I knew God had saved her and I praised him for it. God didn’t give Kim cancer, but God knew what was coming and set me up for a quick kick to the behind. I figured out, what he wanted from me so many years ago, He was still waiting for. That’s why I wrote this book. To honor God and follow his will.
